This pendant is the only one which has ever been made in Solid 14k Gold, allowing you to stun with a truly unique piece.

For this piece, we used one of our most exquisite opals.
When looking at it in the sunlight, you’ll see a dance of colors including blues, greens, reds and yellows. This stunning opal has a range of unique colorful patterns which change in different types of light, where in moonlight, sunlight, or indoor lights, the different wavelengths of light bring out a firework display of colors.
Even in dark lighting this opal does not fail to stun, where it brings out qualities resembling those of a moonstone.
In over two decades of handling gemstones I can proudly say that this particular opal is both an exceptional and extremely rare one which I will be sad to see go.

As with all natural gemstones, those of highest quality are extraordinarily rare and therefore command a high value as the earth has only produced a limited supply. It is expected that the mines for these will eventually deplete, likely within our lifetime. Based on historic gemstone prices, when the mine is empty it is expected for the price of these unique gems to skyrocket. Its high value will therefore echo through the ages as an investment or heirloom piece.

This particular opal has an amazing story behind it. It is what I term as a fair trade opal with complete traceability. Its entire journey can be traced from the mine which it came from, to my partnered gemstone cutter and polisher, until eventually it found itself embedded in this exquisite pendant and finally in your hands.

My wife and I both saw something very special in this opal even in its raw form, with its play of colors resembling the Aurora Borealis. We therefore designed the pendant specifically around this gem.

The 14 K solid gold housing is a collaborative piece between the two of us, which we spent many months designing to ensure that it is just perfect for this particular opal.
When designing it, we kept the aurora borealis theme in mind, and therefore chose to surround this precious opal with 3 stars and a larger northern star above it. Each of the 4 stars is decorated with a glamorous natural diamond in the center, which are all D grade and of flawless (IF) clarity. The total diamond weight in this piece is 0.25 Carat.

The Opal itself weighs a proud 2.74 Carats, with a perfect cabochon dome cut and flawless (IF) clarity and is described as a natural semi-crystal white fire opal gemstone. The opal measures 10 x 10mm making it a perfect circle, which comes at a high cost due to having to sacrifice a large amount of high quality opal to allow it to fit into its final solid gold housing. Of all the Opal mined in the world, this opal is in the top 0.01% in terms of quality. It took the earth over 30 million years to create this opal.

This opal comes from my private collection, and with the history of this piece and its incredible beauty, it is very difficult for me to part with. But funds are needed to keep the wildlife sanctuary and our family going.

This pendant comes with a solid 14K gold rope chain necklace, available at the following lengths: 40cm / 45cm / 50cm.

This beautiful piece is presented in a solid wood gift box, which comes inside a white protective box.

***** About Us, our Wildlife Sanctuary and the Wildlife we Protect *****
My wife and I are noted artists by the Irish government and have also been awarded special use of certain government tourist brands to produce artwork for attractions.

We are a small family business whose passion and focus is all about supporting and protecting nature.

A percentage of the profit made from the sale of this jewelry will go towards projects to help save the natural world. Giving art the chance to help nature.

We support the world land trust, please check them out (worldlandtrust.org). We also support birds of prey centers in Ireland as well as our own project establishing and maintaining a wildlife sanctuary in rural Ireland.
In our wildlife sanctuary in County Clare in Ireland, we are working on recovering ecosystems which were damaged from intensive farming and resorting native forestry.
Being 10 kilometers from the coast, but in a mountainous area, adjacent to a lake, our forestry and heather fields provide a unique and essential habitat and breeding grounds for wildlife, both native and migratory.

We’re working throughout the year on different projects, from clearing grounds from invasive species to sowing native Irish wildflowers and rare Irish plants to help them from going extinct. This work is also essential to combating the declining numbers of bees and butterflies and other insects. We also actively encourage wildlife into our sanctuary by providing food and shelter.
Over time, we have noticed a great improvement for the wildlife in our wildlife sanctuary, it has proven to be an essential backbone for a wide variety of rare and endangered animals and plants.
