The Triple Hare Necklace; Also known as The Three Hares Necklace.
This was designed and hand carved in rural Ireland (on the Wild Atlantic Way if you've been here before). With each one being hand carved; The hairs on the hares and the eyes on each pendant will be completely unique, no two are the same. They eyes will all be different because in adding the black enamel by hand under a microscope. Also under the microscope I'm creating each individual hair on the hare's body. So every single one is completely unique with it's own identity.
I only allow perfect pieces which are checked over by three people. Everything else is melted down and the process starts again.

This piece took substantial research and discussion to find the right balance between artistic beauty and spirituality. This piece has been overlaid during it's design with the Celtic Triskele symbol, which is also known as the Triple Spiral. The Triskele is widely regarded as the oldest symbol of spirituality. The name Triskele comes from the Greek words "Tri" and "Skelos," which, translates to "three legs". In the ancient Irish culture, the Triple Spiral is said to be one of the most important spiritual markings.

The three hares are joined together in a circle by their ears. This reflects the design which found in British, German and many European medieval heritage and spiritual sites as well as churches. It is an image reminiscent of pagan religion. As well as being present in historical synagogues and ancient sacred sites from East Asia, the Middle East.

The hare is a sacred symbol for the moon in folklore and mythology. Symbolizing abundance, fertility and longevity.
The Spring goddess Ostara was closely associated with the hare. As Celtic triskele sign as well.)
Then in modern mythology there is of course the Easter bunny.

***** About Us, our Wildlife Sanctuary and the Wildlife we Protect *****
We are a small family business whose passion and focus is all about supporting and protecting nature.
A percentage of the profit made from the sale of this jewelry will go towards projects to help save the natural world. Giving art the chance to help nature.

We support the world land trust, please check them out (worldlandtrust.org). We also support birds of prey centers in Ireland as well as our own project establishing and maintaining a wildlife sanctuary in rural Ireland.
In our wildlife sanctuary in County Clare in Ireland, we are working on recovering ecosystems which were damaged from intensive farming and resorting native forestry.
Being 10 kilometres from the coast, but in a mountainous area, adjacent to a lake, our forestry and heather fields provide a unique and essential habitat and breeding grounds for wildlife, both native and migratory.

We’re working throughout the year on different projects, from clearing grounds from invasive species to sowing native Irish wildflowers and rare Irish plants to help them from going extinct. This work is also essential to combating the declining numbers of bees and butterflies and other insects. We also actively encourage wildlife into our sanctuary by providing food and shelter.
Over time, we have noticed a great improvement for the wildlife in our wildlife sanctuary, it has proven to be an essential backbone for a wide variety of rare and endangered animals and plants.
